These courses taught the knowledge of how leaders are to collaborate to bridge divides and transform the wide-range of talents and knowledge in order to develop new insight and skills.... Each session was well taught and explained. I have no dislikes... I am grateful for this knowledge and I feel as though it will be beneficial to my daily task.”

A focus on core competencies

We developed our curricula to address the new national training and development needs of the public health workforce, as informed by the ASPPH Framing the Future initiative, ASTHO’s Public Health Workforce Interest and Needs Survey (PH WINS), and the National Board of Public Health Examiners’ (NBPHE) Job Task Analysis Survey.

The focus of our curricula is on core competencies, with the intention of sharpening the practice (and practical) skills of public health professionals.

CPH credit provider

We actively support the lifelong learning and professional development of the public health workforce. All of our curricula is approved by the National Board of Public Health Examiners (NBPHE) for Certified in Public Health (CPH) credit.

The Certified in Public Health is the only credential of its kind for public health that demonstrates not only one’s knowledge of key public health sciences, but also one’s commitment to the field through continuing education focused on emerging and established public health issues.

To maintain an active CPH status, designees must report at least 50 recertification credits every two years. We are proud to assist professionals in this effort this by offering 67 classes for CPH recertification credit.

TRAIN Network

We deliver our classes through the Public Health Foundation’s TRAIN network. TRAIN is a national learning network that provides thousands of quality training opportunities online to more than 1.8 million professionals who protect and improve the public's health.

Powered by the Public Health Foundation (PHF), the TRAIN Learning Network brings together agencies and organizations in the public health, healthcare, and preparedness sectors to disseminate, track, and share trainings for the health workforce on a centralized training platform.
